Introduction
Khaled Hosseini is a novelist and originally from Afghanistan. He was born in Afghanistan and moved to US with his family. He entered the University of California-San Diego's School of Medicine and used to be a practicing internist. He began writing his first novel in 2001 and The Kite Runner was published in 2003

Khaled Hosseini is a world famous novelist and a bestseller writer. His debut novel The Kite Runner is a huge success and makes publishing miracle of 12 million copies around the world. It was awarded the South African Boeke Prize in 2004. Hosseini’s novel concentrates on living conditions of Afghanis and draws world’s attention to this country suffering from poverty and multiple social issues.
